In Need of Your Help, Please

Posted on Feb 11th, 2009 by whatswithinu : Guiding Light & Life Coach whatswithinu
Dear Friends,

You can't turn on the news, tune in the radio, or even go to your local coffee shop without hearing about how tough things are. It's all the buzz and can be rather overwhelming and consuming. I understand the feelings created by the messages we are hearing and I'm heartsick by the fear and hurt those messages are creating. They are holding many back, stopping people from truly living, blocking the flow of fun, and draining our energy.

Call me an idealist or tell me that I have my head in the sand, that is fine, but I refuse to believe that there isn't goodness out there, fun to be had, opportunities to be explored, hearts to connect with, awesome people to meet, and potentials to consider. I'm not going to believe that we are self destructing and all is lost. Instead I would like to ask you to join me in creating a positive change and help to turn things around at the personal level.

I want to support you and I want to support others in amping up the energy, building more confidence, and creating more positives! In order to do just that I've created a free e-course called Getting Your Groove On: 10 Kick Ass Ways to Supercharge Your Life.

Why is it free? What's the catch?

It's free because I want to give back. I want give back to my community, to the people that I care about and to those they care about, heck to the world at large. I want people to feel empowered, to find their voices again without fear of obligation other than the obligation that they make to themselves to keep moving forward and to being the very best they can be.

My friends, we all have so many amazing positive qualities, skills, and attributes and it is time to bring them forward. It is time to stop the fear, to stop the negativity, and to create a more positive and loving world...that starts with each of us individually. So please, I'm asking you to accept this e-course as my gift to you in support of doing just that. The only thing I ask is that you share this gift with others so that we may continue to stay strong and be the amazing, loving people we were meant to be and are. Won't you help? You have the power to make a difference.

Thank you!!

Much Love and Peace to you...

Pam

P.S. I wish to thank, from the bottom of my heart, Jon Nix for helping to put a face to this e-course. Without his creative design genius this would not have been possible. Thank you, Jon!

It Happened and I Learned Some Things

Posted on Sep 1st, 2007 by whatswithinu : Guiding Light & Life Coach whatswithinu

I finished them, they are done! My e-workbooks are finally seeing the light of day!

I learned some pretty cool things while writing them. I learned...

...to let go of the outcome. Focusing on the outcome takes away from the fun I had in creating them.

... when you write something from your heart, it's OK to be vulnerable and put yourself out there for all to see. In doing so you might just help another person move forward and that's a good thing!

... when creating you learn more about yourself then you ever thought possible.

... to expect the unexpected and go with the flow. Things sometimes manifest differently then originally anticipated.

... to not force the creation process. Some times writers block is a good thing - it supports a bit of downtime and reflection.

Hmmm, now on to the next big intention - I can't wait to find out what else there is to learn.

How about you? What did you learn from the last thing you made happen?

Do You Believe In Magic?

Posted on Sep 1st, 2007 by whatswithinu : Guiding Light & Life Coach whatswithinu

I recently visited this  and came across this thought-provoking question, "Where does real magic exist?"

First, what is real magic? That got me scratching my head a bit.

I suppose some may think of magic as evil and coming from evil sources. And there may be some that think of it as flowers popping from sleeves, rabbits appearing from hats, which can only be found at children's birthday parties. Some may think that magic does not exist at all. While there may be some (like me) who believe that magic is our ability to create marvels and that it comes from within.

Whatever you believe about magic, I respect your beliefs and am not trying to change them. I do have one request, however, and that is to consider the following:

If magic is the ability to create great marvels then we all have the potential to create magic in all that we do (personally and professionally); to make things work while leaving people in awe, wondering how.

Think about it.

We create magic when we make another person smile.
We create magic when see the good in an otherwise bad situation.
We create magic when we accomplish a desired intention.

With that, let me throw out a question, what magic will you create for yourself today?

Love

Posted on Aug 15th, 2007 by whatswithinu : Guiding Light & Life Coach whatswithinu
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for August 15, 2007:

I see world peace as love and acceptance. Love and acceptance at all levels and for everyone, regardless of difference, regardless of background, etc. It has always been my passion and purpose to change this world one person at a time and I understand that in order to do so I must start with me. I  tell my clients, if I am not willing to walk my walk, then I should not be talking my talk. So I would endeavor to support others in loving and accepting  themselves for the amazing people they are so that they are able to fully love others.

Are You Living THE Lie

Posted on Aug 13th, 2007 by whatswithinu : Guiding Light & Life Coach whatswithinu

Just recently I was listening to a recorded version of keynote speech "The Soul of Money: Transforming Your Relationship with Money and Life" . This inspiring speech was not about how to create more money, but rather how to form a better relationship with money and life in general.

The main message was loud and clear; as a society and as individuals we live from a place of scarcity and lack. Why? Because we have been sold a bold-faced lie along the way!

As Lynne was telling the audience how we live with the lie that there is never enough it dawned on me just how easy it is to get trapped in that  lie. We do it everyday in what may seem the most innocuous of ways. Consider some of the "not enough" messages we generate on a daily basis, most often subconsciously ;

Not enough sleep
Not enough money
Not enough smarts
Not enough clothes
Not enough skills
Not enough time
Not thin enough
Not handsome enough
Not pretty enough
Not courageous enough
Not witty enough

Not enough, not enough, not enough.

What's it going to take for every single one of us to stop buying into the lie that there is not enough? That we as a collective whole and as individuals are not enough?

We are enough! You are enough!

Think about it, together as a nation we have banded together many times to raise awareness around important issues. As a matter of fact, we do it daily in the blogosphere. Frankly, I fail to believe that there is not one person out there who has never accomplished something really wonderful.

So you see we are enough and there is plenty of "enough" to go around.

Are you game and ready to stop living the lie of scarcity?

If so, here's the challenge, for the next 21 days (since it ), I encourage you to stop feeding the lie by watching your own thoughts and feelings. When the "not enough" messages appear come up with a way to reframe them, to swap them out for a more empowering message. Then at the end of the 21 days, please come back here and let us know what happened.

Together we can stop the lie from spreading. Who's with me?

Valuable Lessons Learned

Posted on Aug 13th, 2007 by whatswithinu : Guiding Light & Life Coach whatswithinu
Over the past 40 years, particularly the last five, I have learned the following valuable lessons:

1. An open heart leads to an open mind.

2. There is always a golden nugget to be found in a pile of poop. You just have to be willing to dig for it.

3. Gossiping says more about the person gossiping than it does about the person being gossiped about.

4. Leap and the net will appear.

5. Listening between the lines is crucial.

6. You have more to gain by taking a chance than you do to lose.

7. Judging a book by its cover may cost you the best read of your life.

8. Fear is allergic to the present moment.

9. Love is a powerful tool to have in your toolbox. It fixes hurt feelings and wards off fear.

10. If you don't have "it", you can't give "it".

11. It's none of my business what others think of me. It is my business what I think of me.

12. Vulnerability is NOT a sign of weakness, but rather a great testament to strength.

13. To stop learning is to stop growing.

14. A world without music is a world without color.

15. Looking for the good rather than the bad or the ugly leaves you open to seeing more good.

I cannot wait to add more to the list as I continue to learn and grow! What great lessons have you learned?
